   Taymie Dargan, the daughter of Imperial loyalists and sister to Imperial officers, refused the education offered to her by the Academy at Cardia and instead won a scholarship to a prestigious acting school on Coruscant and became a holofilm star.
  Under the name Astra Vordin, Taymie was in hundreds of films with such stars as Garik Loran ("the Face") and Wynassa Starflare (Syal Antilles). It was several years before at a debut, she ran into a young man in a wheelchair who asked for her autograph. The young man was her brother, working undercover for the New Republic. After learning the true nature of the Empire she had acted for, Taymie shed her Imperial skin and joined the New Republic. She is now a journalist for the New Republic Scanner and acts in some propaganda films.  She is slated to be reassigned to a Rimside unit soon.
